Justin Timberlake Cancels Columbus Show Again Due to Flu: Heartbroken Fans React
Justin Timberlake has canceled his Columbus show for the second time amidst his battle with the flu, leaving fans heartbroken.
Timberlake's Ongoing Health Struggles
Justin Timberlake has recently faced significant health challenges, forcing him to cancel a show in Columbus, Ohio. This marks the second time he has had to pull out of performing due to illness during his ongoing flu battle.
Upon launching his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, Timberlake excitedly announced the Forget Tomorrow world tour. However, this tour has been plagued with delays, attributed to various health issues that have plagued the artist.
Past Cancellations and Postponements
Last October, Timberlake had to postpone six North American shows after being diagnosed with bronchitis and laryngitis. This came shortly after he had to cancel another show in Newark just hours before he was set to perform due to an injury he described as "preventing me from performing." In December, he further canceled a performance in Oklahoma City after suffering a back injury.
Among the shows affected by his health issues was the Columbus date, which had already been rescheduled to Thursday, February 27. Unfortunately, this date has also been canceled due to Timberlake's flu diagnosis.
Heartfelt Message to Fans
Just hours before his scheduled performance at the Nationwide Arena, Timberlake took to social media to express his disappointment.
“You guys. I’m heartbroken,” he shared in a statement. “I have to cancel the show tonight. I went into soundcheck battling the flu, and now it’s gotten the best of me. It kills me to disappoint you, and my team worked so hard to make this show happen. I want to reassure you, you’ll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all.”

Reflecting on Past Mistakes
In another recent incident, Timberlake faced legal trouble after pleading guilty to driving while impaired. He urged fans to reconsider their choices regarding driving under the influence. He stated, “Even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car. There are so many alternatives. You can call a friend [or] take an Uber. This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”
Recent Album Release
Timberlake's latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, released in March, has received mixed reviews. Critics acknowledge his vocal skills and ability to create groovy music, yet they point out that the album fails to overshadow his past controversies. Nick Levine noted for a publication that “‘Everything I Thought It Was’ shows he hasn’t lost his vocal chops…” but still lacks the power to deny his problematic past.
