Festival Overview

Mark your calendars! The winter festival, Rockaway Beach, is set to return to Butlin’s in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, from January 2 to 4, 2026. This year promises to be a blast, with an incredible lineup featuring some of the most exciting acts in alternative music.

Lineup Highlights

Among the first wave of announced acts, we have the legendary Public Image Ltd. (PiL), who will take the spotlight as one of the headliners, with two more headline acts to be revealed later. Fronted by the iconic John Lydon, PiL is known for their boundary-pushing music that has influenced generations. Lydon and his band are also gearing up for a full UK and Ireland tour in May. Additionally, PiL is set to release a “long lost” alternative US mix of their classic album ‘First Edition’ for Record Store Day 2026.

Joining the headliners, the festival will also feature Grammy-winning London-based post-punk band Dry Cleaning, as well as the energetic The Moonlandingz, who recently returned with new music after an eight-year hiatus. Their latest single, "The Sign Of A Man," has already created quite a buzz.

Public Image Ltd.'s Journey

In a recent interview, John Lydon opened up about using music as a way to cope with grief following personal losses. He expressed how the upcoming PiL tour and creating new “raucous” music is helping him navigate through tough times.

“Sadness is an energy,” he shared, echoing sentiments from PiL's iconic track ‘Rise’. “It can either be applied or you can let it eat you alive. The second option is not very interesting to me.”

Lydon also participated in a playful quiz about his illustrious career, recounting stories about missed opportunities to collaborate with artists like Daft Punk and shared his candid thoughts about other musicians, including his take on Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
