About the New Track

“Maybe When We’re 30” is a reflective and somewhat sardonic take on the journey through adulthood. It captures the essence of watching one’s social circles evolve as friends settle down. The music video, which was directed by the band, beautifully complements this theme. You can watch it below:

Inspiration Behind the Song

Diving deeper into the song's inspiration, the band’s lyricist, Rob Knaggs, shared some intriguing thoughts:

“It’s a song for Brooklyn Beckham. When you start off in a band you feel like Slurms Mackenzie (the Futurama party slug). You can’t believe it’s your job to travel around the world and drink beer and make music with your friends.”

He goes on to reflect on the changes that come with time:

“And then one morning you look around, and all your friends are getting married, and you think, maybe all I really want is to grow old, and get a dog, and write horrible things about Brooklyn Beckham on Facebook, and go on cruises, and have petty disputes with my neighbours about whether the council recycles cardboard.”

Such relatable sentiments resonate with many, making this track not just music, but a story of growing up.
