Explore the unique blend of gourmet Italian dining and high-end audio at Vinile Chophouse, a must-visit culinary destination in New York City.

Introduction to Vinile Chophouse

Vinile Chophouse

March 2025 – Vinile Chophouse is the latest gastronomic gem from the creators of Vinyl Steakhouse, located in the vibrant Flatiron District of New York City. This restaurant is not just a place to eat; it’s a modern take on the classic Italian chophouse, infused with a nostalgic musical vibe. With an impressive collection of albums, including the largest collection of Frank Sinatra records in the city, Vinile aims to transport its guests to an era of stylish Italian elegance.

The Sound System That Sets the Mood

Owner Kevin Flannery had a vision—a sound system that would elevate the dining experience while honoring Vinile’s Italian roots. To achieve this, he turned to K-array audio system, an audio brand born in Tuscany, renowned for its combination of technical innovation and artisanal craftsmanship. The result? An impressive K-array Ecosystem featuring both K-array and KGEAR products, expertly installed by TechDesign to ensure superb sound quality throughout the venue.

When you step into Vinile Chophouse, you’re immediately greeted by the warm sounds of classic Italian vinyl, spinning on two turntables that are powered by the sleek Python-KP52 I speakers and robust KGEAR GS18 subwoofers. This creates an inviting atmosphere, perfectly setting the stage for the exceptional culinary experience that awaits.

An Audio Experience Like No Other

Additional Python speakers and KGEAR subs power the front bar, creating an authoritative sound that enhances the dining experience. The K-array Thunder 12” subwoofer adds depth to the audio, ensuring that every note resonates beautifully.

To provide exceptional sound quality across the restaurant, six KGEAR GH4 high-performance point source satellite speakers are strategically placed in the dining area, complemented by additional Thunder subwoofers discreetly installed within custom cut recesses in the banquettes.

The upstairs dining room boasts six more KGEAR GH4 speakers along with a KGEAR GU210 subwoofer, ensuring that every corner of the restaurant is filled with rich, immersive sound.

Private Dining and Unique Audio Installations

For those seeking a more intimate experience, the private chef’s table on the second floor features two Vyper-KV25 speakers and a Truffle-KTR26 subwoofer, seamlessly integrated into the banquets. An upstairs private dining area keeps the music flowing with a dedicated turntable, paired with four Tornado-KT2 point source speakers and one Rumble-KU26 subwoofer, crafting a cozy listening environment. The setup is rounded out by Kommander amplifiers, ensuring clarity in every note.

“Creating the right atmosphere was paramount,” Flannery emphasizes. “We wanted an audio system that could truly bring our vinyl collection to life, particularly the timeless voices of Italian and Italian-American artists.”

A Culinary Journey Through Italian Flavors

Vinile’s menu boasts prime chophouse dishes with a delightful Italian twist. Diners can indulge in exquisite offerings like oysters with caviar and dry-aged porterhouse steak. With private dining rooms and an exclusive chef’s table experience, Vinile is not just a restaurant; it's a destination that celebrates Italian craftsmanship in both food and audio.
